BASIC FIRST AID (Day 1)

WorkSafeBC Basic First Aid teaches you the necessary skills to respond effectively to workplace emergencies. This course is designed for industry that is located in close proximity to hospitals (less than 20 min.) First Aid skills include; minor wound care, upper limb immobilization techniques, CPR & obstructed airway management, as well as medical conditions and regulatory requirements by WorkSafe BC.

 

TRANSPORTATION ENDORSEMENT (Day 2)

The WorkSafeBC Transportation Endorsement Course is designed to work in conjunction with the Basic First Aid (Formerly OFA 1) course, focusing on recognition of potential spinal injuries and how to prepare and transport injured workers to medical aid. Candidates will learn various techniques for safely moving patients, as well as spinal immobilization and WorkSafe BC regulatory requirements.
