Our Emergency First Aid and Standard First Aid courses are now recognized as equivalent to the WorkSafeBC-developed courses known as Basic First Aid and Intermediate First Aid, respectively, on October 23, 2024. After April 2, 2025, please look for our Standard First Aid course to replace Intermediate First Aid.

WorkSafeBC Occupational First Aid Level 2 teaches you the necessary skills to respond effectively to workplace emergencies. This Advanced Occupational First Aid Level 2 course is designed for industry that is located in close proximity to hospitals (less than 20 min.) First Aid skills include; minor wound care, upper limb immobilization techniques, CPR & obstructed airway management, as well as medical conditions and regulatory requirements by WorkSafe BC.

Upon successful completion of a practical exam and written exam, successful candidates will be certified to work as workplace first aid attendants for 3 years. Level 2 First Aid initial certification requires course attendance and full participation.

Pre-requisite: None

Course Length: 16 hours 
Certification: 3 years

Course Hours:
• 8:15 am start time (8:30 am after paperwork)
• 30 minutes for lunch
• 5 pm end time
There will also be a mid-morning and mid-afternoon break as well.

Course Requirements:

  • Candidates must be 16 years of age to be certified
  • In good health and physical condition
  • Provide valid photo ID to the Evaluator prior to examinations
  • Students must prepay to secure a seat
  • All class hours are mandatory
