This 20-hour course is designed for people who work or live in remote locations or who are outdoor recreation enthusiasts. The course includes all information covered in a Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid / CPR-C course, plus special material focusing on techniques for wilderness and remote areas. This course also includes first aid strategies for providing extended care for up to 24 hours. Part of the course is taught in an outdoor setting and requires greater physical activity and endurance than typical first aid training.

Participants will learn:
The course includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines and meets federal and a variety of provincial/territorial regulations.
We supply all first aid gear and other necessary learning materials for the course. On the first day of class you will get a copy of the Red Cross Wilderness & Remote First Aid Field Guide to use during the course. Pre-requisite: None
Course Length: 20 hours (2 full days of training to equate to 20 hrs)
Course Schedule:
Day 1: 8:30am- 6:30pm
Day 2: 8:30am- 6:30pm
Certification: 3-year certification in Wilderness & Remote First Aid, CPR-C and AED
Recertification: Current certificate must still be valid and provided at time of registration, must be RED CROSS course. Participant will be required to attend the last day of instruction (10hrs). Cost of Recertification is half the cost of the full course.
