Basic Life Support (BLS) with Oxygen Therapy & Airway Management- Canadian Red Cross

This course provides advanced training for emergency health professionals using a high-performance, team-based (“pit crew”) style approach to CPR and AED. Participants will also learn airway management and oxygen therapy techniques, building confidence in managing cardiac and respiratory emergencies.

Course Length

  • Full Course: ~6 hours (may run up to 8 hours depending on class size)

  • Recertification: 2 hours (valid Red Cross BLS certificate required)

Certification:

  • Red Cross BLS certificate valid for 1 year

  • Electronic certification issued upon successful completion

Schedule

  • Start: 8:15 am

  • Lunch: 30 minutes

  • End: 3:45–4:00 pm (depending on class size)

  • Morning & afternoon breaks included

Course Requirements

  • 100% attendance

  • Successful demonstration of all skills

  • Proof of current Red Cross BLS certificate required for recertification
