Transportation Endorsement Course

Our 1-day (8-hour) Transportation Endorsement Course is designed to complement Basic First Aid training. It prepares participants to recognize, manage, and safely transport injured workers, with a focus on spinal injury management and patient handling techniques.

✅ Meets WorkSafeBC requirements
✅ 3-year Red Cross / WorkSafeBC certification
✅ Hands-on skill development for safe patient transport

Prerequisite

• Valid Basic First Aid, Intermediate First Aid, Canadian Red Cross WEFA, or equivalent certification

Schedule

• Start: 8:15 am (8:30 am after paperwork)

• Lunch: 30 minutes

• End: 5:00 pm

• Morning & afternoon breaks included

What You’ll Learn

• Spinal injury recognition & safe patient transport

• Patient packaging & spinal immobilization

• Supine, lateral, ¾ prone drainage & positions of comfort

• Review of patient assessment (Basic First Aid standard)

• Critical airway, breathing & circulation interventions with C-spine management

• Overview of WorkSafeBC regulatory requirements
