The names of B.C. workplace first aid certificates changed on November 1, 2024. The current terminology is Basic First Aid, Intermediate First Aid, and Advanced First Aid. Older OFA 1, OFA 2, and OFA 3 certificates remain valid until their expiry dates and correspond to the new levels

In British Columbia, workplace first aid training is generally divided into Basic First Aid, Intermediate First Aid, and Advanced First Aid. Basic First Aid – generally a one-day course. Intermediate First Aid – generally a two-day course. Advanced First Aid – generally a ten-day course. The level required depends on the workplace and its first aid assessment.
