Red Cross Wilderness First Aid (formerly referred to as Advanced Wilderness First Aid) is a 40 hour course that will prepare you to take the lead in medical emergencies where resources are scarce, and rescue might take 24-48 hours. We will focus on basic principles and effective techniques, and guide your through informed decision-making. This is the ultimate course for the avid adventurer/camper or guide.

Pre-requisite: None - there are no training or certification prerequisites for this course.
Course Length: 40 hours ( 4 x 10 hr days)
We supply all first aid gear and other necessary learning materials for the course. On the first day of class you will get a copy of the Red Cross Wilderness & Remote First Aid Field Guide to take home with you.
After a successful completion of the course earns you an Red Cross Wilderness First Aid with CPR C certificate from the Canadian Red Cross, valid for 3 years.
Course Schedule:
Day 1: 8:30am- 6:30pm
Day 2: 8:30am- 6:30pm
Day 3: 12:00pm - 11:00pm (Evening scenario)
Day 4: 10:00am - 6:00pm
**Frequent breaks and lunch are taken throughout the day
Recertification: 16 hours / 2 days; you must hold an unexpired 40 hour certificate to recertify.
